Georgia Inmate Care Packages
Non-food correctional orders only
Food purchases are available only for eligible New York state-prison destinations. Correctional orders for all other U.S. states must be non-food only. Remove food, snacks, beverages and food-containing mixed packages. Rikers Island and Nassau County Jail remain non-food only. Residential shopping is unaffected.

Georgia state-prison food packages use designated channels
Georgia Department of Corrections' official food-package guidance identifies Union Supply for its described state-prison, integrated-treatment, and probation-detention program, with a separate provider noted for Riverbend. Follow the agency's current instructions on eligibility, deadlines, contents, and limits. Ordering food from Secure Care Essentials is not enrollment in that program or evidence of GDC vendor approval.
Food Quarterly Package Ordering Period
For incarcerated individuals of Georgia correctional institutions: food quarterly package orders are accepted October 7 – November 6, 2026. All orders must be received by November 6, 2026.
Food Quarterly Package Order Limits
Apply the appropriate recipient limit to the combined product totals across multiple orders. Consult the current program provider and official GDC package instructions for more information regarding order limits.
- Correctional Institutions: An incarcerated individual may receive multiple orders up to a combined 15 lbs. (240 ounces) or $100 of product, whichever is reached first.
- Detention Centers: An incarcerated individual may receive up to a combined 7 lbs. (112 ounces) or $50 of product, whichever is reached first.
- Shipping Fees: These maximum limits do not include shipping fees.
Georgia county jails need a separate policy check
A county jail in Georgia is not automatically governed by the state-prison package program. Identify the receiving jail and consult its own official package or commissary instructions. Rules may depend on housing assignment, recipient eligibility, item type, and an authorized provider. Our directory helps locate institutions but does not certify that they accept our deliveries.
Choosing clothing, hygiene, and snacks for Georgia delivery
Read the contents of each package instead of assuming food, clothing, and hygiene items can be combined. Confirm quantities, clothing colors and sizes, sealed packaging, and container restrictions with the destination. For eligible outside-store orders, supply complete recipient and mailing details. Shopify presents the final amount before payment. Normal shipping turnaround is 3-4 business days, with additional carrier transit and facility intake time.
Official rules and useful shopping links
Agency links are informational, not evidence of vendor endorsement. Rules may change; consult the receiving institution's current instructions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I send a care package to someone in a Georgia correctional facility?
Use the Georgia facility directory to identify the receiving institution. Choose items the recipient is eligible to receive and provide the recipient's full name, required identification, and complete mailing address. Shopify confirms current prices, shipping, taxes, and the final amount before payment. Prior facility approval is not required to purchase, but acceptance is not guaranteed.
What items are allowed in Georgia prison care packages?
Rules vary by institution, recipient, and jurisdiction. Review the listed contents and the receiving facility's current restrictions on products, packaging, quantities, and outside vendors. A directory listing or product listing is not facility approval.
How long does delivery take to Georgia prisons and jails?
Processing begins after payment. Shipping turnaround time is 3-4 business days. Carrier transit and facility intake times vary, so this is not a guaranteed delivery window. Tracking is provided when the order ships.
Can care packages be sent to county jails in Georgia?
County-jail rules vary. Use the Georgia directory to identify the correct institution, then confirm recipient eligibility, permitted items, and the full mailing address. Listing a facility does not guarantee that it accepts outside-vendor packages.
What happens if a care package is rejected by a Georgia facility?
Contact support with the order number and any rejection documentation. Requests are reviewed under the current refund policy. Rejections due to facility policies, restricted items, or incorrect customer information can result in non-refundable shipping charges and customer-paid reshipment.
How often can I send care packages to Georgia inmates?
Package frequency and quantity limits are set by the receiving institution and can depend on the recipient's eligibility. Confirm current limits before ordering; a previous delivery does not establish permission for a later package.
Is a Secure Care Essentials food order part of the Georgia GDC package program?
No. The GDC instructions identify designated providers for the food-package program they describe. Follow those official channels and current eligibility rules; do not assume this store participates.
Do Georgia county jails use the GDC state-prison package program?
Do not assume they do. Consult the receiving county jail's own package, commissary, vendor, and mailing rules.
